Membership CategoriesFULL MEMBERSHIPFull Members enjoy all benefits of the Association including eligibility to run for and serve as a Member of the Executive Board, serve as a committee member, and the privilege to vote. Any person who has worked under a recognized contract of any branch of the Associated Actors and Artistes of America (AEA, AFTRA, AGMA, AGVA) as a Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager or who can demonstrate comparable experience as a professional Stage Manager (Union or non-Union) is eligible to apply for Full Membership. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIPAssociate Members may attend Association meetings and serve on committees of the Association, but have no voting privileges and may not run for, nor serve on, the Executive Board. Any person who demonstrates an intent to pursue a career as a professional Stage Manager shall be eligible for Associate Membership. An Associate Member may apply for Full Membership at such time as said Member qualifies for Full Membership by contacting the Secretaries of the Association. STUDENT MEMBERSHIPStudent Members may attend Association meetings and serve on committees of the Association (with the exception of the Financial Oversight, Membership, and Nominating Committees), but have no voting privileges and may not run for, nor serve on, the Executive Board. Any person who is enrolled in a High School, College, or Graduate Program (in the cases of College or Graduate programs, they must have a concentration in stage management), may apply for Student Membership. A Student Member must become an Associate or Full Member once they have matriculated from their final educational program.
