MAKE VOLUNTEERING WORK FOR YOU
Make Volunteering Work For You: AWP members will describe how volunteering has developed their skills, expanded networks and lead to meaningful paid sideline/parallel work. Guest speakers from ReServe will also speak about paid internship opportunities in nonprofit settings for experienced professionals over 55. No pre-registration or reservation is required.

WHERE ARE THE JOBS AND WHOíS GETTING THEM?

A Labor Market Analyst in New York City for the State Department of Labor Research and Statistics Division will report on the latest employment trends. He will be joined by a temp employment recruiter, who will describe the qualifications and behaviors of successful job seekers. No pre-registration or reservation is required.

STRATEGIES FOR FIGHTING DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY
An eight week confidential group focused on teaching basic tools to help you manage your mood. Unlike traditional talk therapies, this structured group will feature weekly guided exercises and homework assignments with the goal of helping you take control of how you feel. An interview is required to ensure a positive group experience.

MANAGING CASH FLOW FOR ARTISTS - FALL 2009
This five-week workshop covers strategies for organizing expenses, balancing multiple sources of income, and planning for dry spells. We also discuss tips for aligning your professional and financial goals. You are welcome to attend the first session with no obligation (Orientation, September 15th) to learn more about this and other Financial Wellness Program services. Orientation is a required session for all members who plan to take the full workshop. Managing Cash Flow for Artists is offered three times a year. MONEY AND THE PERFORMING ARTIST - FALL 2009
Using MAP - The Money Awareness Program (SM), this six-week group explores how family, cultural, and entertainment industry attitudes contribute to how we think about and use money. This group is facilitated by Annette Lieberman, LCSW, author of The Money Mirror. Money and the Performing Artist is offered three times a year.
